Are you a designer, artist, interior decorator, or contractor building a home? If so, join our upcoming Happy Hour VIP Event where we will discuss and view fantastic artwork by our special guest speaker and artist, Christy Noonan.

Christy was born in Lakeland, Florida and eventually moved to Naples. As a child, the aqua waters of the Gulf of Mexico and the River of Grass of the Florida Everglades inspired her to start painting. For Christy, painting formed an important means of expression of the natural world and her interpretations of its beauty.

Finally, Cori Craciun will showcase some of her recent handcrafted pieces. Sticks and Stones Collection has beautiful and organic home furnishings, minerals, and accessories for every room of the house.

And while you’re viewing the spectacular art work, dine on delicious catering by Chef Daniela. Chef Daniela specializes in farm to table superfoods. Specifically Romanian/Hungarian/Italian cuisine. You can learn more about her Here.

Cori Craciun has chased stones over several continents, and her Sticks and Stones gallery shows the results of that love affair in its creations. There are undulating polished sculptures of stones not often seen here. Wood furniture exploits the natural lines of the tree or its roots. Sometimes it’s a double thrill: Craciun adds rivers or pools of stone to the recesses of the wood.

This store is Craciun’s reward for toughing out the early years as a Romanian immigrant in the U.S., cleaning Kmarts, selling real estate. Even when she found a spots in Naples for her dream rock shop, within days of signing a contract, she got a call from her sister, Daniela: She was coming to America. Would Cori help her open a restaurant?

As the old adage says, they may break your bones, but thanks to Cori Craciun’s store, Sticks and Stones Collection, they’ll also look great as part of your home décor.

The 1,500-plus-square-foot store on Shirley Street opened just 10 months ago and has already secured its spot as the go-to place for one-of-a-kind wood accents and furnishings as well as statement making gems and minerals sure to add a glint of nature to any home.

Ms. Craciun left her native Transylvania and moved to Naples where she and her sister ran a Romanian/Hungarian/ Italian restaurant for several years. While on vacation in New England, she discovered her love of stone and wood.

“In Rockport (Maine) I found all of these beautiful pebbles on the beach. I thought they were gorgeous, and I started picking them up,” says Ms. Craciun. “Then we went up into the woods and I started picking up more rocks. I ended up coming home with 50 pounds of rocks in my backpacks. Then I started going to mines and got in with a group of rock hounds.”
